St. Joseph’s fritters are a tradition in our family. Our maternal grandfather was called Giuseppe and he was a very respected and well-known person in the town where he lived. The name day was therefore a particularly important moment where the whole extended family gathered for a festive lunch. And of course, the fritters were never lacking. It is a tradition throughout Italy, but, as always in our country, the recipes vary a bit according to the regions. in some areas they prepare them using rice. In Trentino, our mother’s region, they are made with apples.
